Methodology

Sources, normalization and price history

Cylvaro records publicly available prices and links every data point back to its source.

Sources

Official provider APIs and pricing pages are preferred. The first automated catalog is sourced from the public OpenRouter model API; additional providers can be added through controlled imports.

Normalization

Token prices are stored as micro-US-dollars per one million tokens. Integer arithmetic avoids rounding errors, while input, output, cache and request prices remain separate.

Changes and freshness

The worker checks the catalog regularly. A new record is only created for a changed price fingerprint. Watchlist notifications respect each watch's chosen percentage threshold.
